The Summit | Corporate Citizenship Certificate Program

UPCOMING: NOV 10-14, 2025 in SAN DIEGO, CA | FEB 2-6, 2026 in HOUSTON, TX

The Summit is an opportunity to step away from your desk and focus on your professional development. It's a five-day program where corporate citizens can earn their Certificate of Practice, while enjoying plenty of time to network with peers and discuss specific goals/challenges with expert instructors.

The Summit is our most popular certificate program because it offers a lot of flexibility for busy corporate citizenship professionals. It is a five-day program, which means five days of attendance are required if you want to go home with your certificate in hand. But if you can only attend for a few days, we will work with you to make up any remaining coursework online, according to your schedule and timeline.
The program curriculum also offers some flexibility in that only three of the five courses (one course per day) are required. The other two courses can be electives that you choose, according to your professional interests and challenges. Browse the Summit schedule below for the different course options available on different days. Note that you can click on any course (they are all available fully online) to learn more about it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Anyone working in corporate citizenship can learn and gain for this experience, which offers a broad-based exploration of the field. Courses in strategy, impact measurement and communication are required, while two elective courses allow participants to shape the week around more niche professional interests.

PLEASE NOTE: Program registration is open exclusively to corporate citizenship practitioners, working inside of for-profit companies or corporate foundations. In some cases, eligibility extends to nonprofit healthcare organizations, credit unions, and consulting firms (if they have a dedicated corporate citizenship/sustainability department). The Summit is offered twice each year in various cities around the U.S. Our next Summit sessions will be:November 10-14, 2025 in San Diego, CA, at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, and February 2-6, 2026 in Houston, TX. Details forthcoming.

Yes! If you cannot travel to an upcoming Summit location, it is possible to complete all five of the courses required to earn your certificate as fully online courses. You will, unfortunately, miss out on the many networking opportunities, real-time instructor support, and the career-long bonds that often form among a given cohort.

If you are thinking of completing your certificate fully online, ask about registering for all five courses at once (even if you intend to complete them on an extended timeline), as a bundled package will help you save money per course. See course rates above (and how they go lower when registering for more than one at a time).

"I highly recommend the Certificate in Corporate Citizenship Practice to any professionals working in the field. The program structure gave me the opportunity to complete my certificate at my own pace online while also engaging with peers in person at the (optional) in-person summit. The summit was a fantastic opportunity to network with others working in corporate citizenship. This certificate program creates a space for collaboration, networking, and learning, and I learned skills and strategy from real-world examples that I have applied to my everyday work."
