FAQs for Online Courses at BCCCC
Anyone is eligible to enroll for these online courses, both members and non-members, from all types of organizations (for-profit and nonprofit).
These courses aren't designed for a specific job title or role. Instead, they’re structured around what professionals want to accomplish or learn to grow in their current position.
We recommend spending 1-2 hours per module, and each course typically consists of 8-10 modules. The courses are self-paced, meaning you have the flexibility to spend more time on topics that are most relevant or interesting to you, allowing for a deeper understanding of the material.
These courses are completely asynchronous, with no real-time login requirements. They are meant to be completed at times that are most convenient to you.
There is no deadline for the courses. However, we recommend completing them within 3-6 months to ensure a continuous learning experience.
Yes, definitely. Any question you have can be answered through email or can be communicated directly through the Canvas portal. Progress may be monitored by the instructor, allowing them to reach out with support or advice to help you stay on track.
BCCCC's online CSR/ESG courses do not culminate in letter grades. The courses are designed to support your professional development, with a focus on growth and knowledge, not A's vs B's. Modules and assignments are based on completion, and the instructor will provide feedback for any improvements that can be made.
Yes, these courses are designed to build your knowledge on topics that are relevant to your work. You are encouraged to go back to specific modules and assignments that may clarify something in your work day.
We offer both in-person courses at the Summit and online courses done asynchronously to accommodate a variety of learning preferences. The online courses are self-paced, allowing you to stay on a module for as long as you need and the ability to return to a past module to refresh on the provided information. The content of the online and in-person courses are similar and well-aligned, but the discourse that is available in an online versus an in-person setting may differ.
For a single course, we offer two different rates. For non-members, the tuition for one course is $2,900. One of the benefits of being a member of BCCCC is a discounted price on these courses, lowering the cost to $2,130!
